Very innovative game, lots of content!!! Overwhelming at times

I finally have received my code from the Explorer's edition, but the main box will be shipped out tomorrow it said. Knowing that there will be a wipe for PC users anyway, I still decided to venture for a couple of hours into the game, but mainly because it is well known that the day one patch that is still to come out for PC users, will basically present a whole new game, with all the major changes being implemented.

Sean tried to make a game, where you feel tiny in contrast to our universe. He succeeded. Fast paced MMO players will most likely call this boring, but, it is not, the opposite rather. Everything you see, can be interacted with in a way. Everything you use as well, from your suit, ship, weapons, tools, etc, there are many options. In order to upgrade, you need to find at times blueprints which are in specific areas. If you want to upgrade your ship, a great way is to find distress signals (rare encounters), or hack into a certain structure on a planet that logged, a potential emergency landing or a crash of another ship, and with luck, it has materials to be salvaged that you need. Even to warp to the next star system you will need materials (warp cells). If you run out of them, you can find them in your current system, so no worries to freak out, but this promotes players to actually explore the current system, and as you all know, there is a ton to explore.

Granted, this game is not for everyone. There are different type of players as we all know, so I will speak this based on my own experience with games since the mid 80s. If you are into statistics, achievements, medals, weapon skins that others can see etc., do not get this game. This game is for people that want to relax, feel the vast size of the universe, explore, and in fact, do whatever the heck they feel like doing without any other player interacted with you. If you want to show off your OP ship, you can't do it here. This is not ED, where you can park your Anaconda in front of a space station in a busy system for all to see. You my friend, are on your own here, so choose whatever means necessary to survive, and to do what you feel like is needed to be done! Do you want to learn alien languages so you can get much better trade rewards and better prices? Do it ! Don't you care about languages and you just want to kill every non-hostile ship and cause terror across a system and be a notorious pirate, then do it! Do, whatever you want!

The only cons so far is that the game is very overwhelming and you feel lost at times as what to upgrade next. IGN and other sites made some good articles on this, so I highly recommend people read up on it before they start playing. I will personally stop playing now, as it will all be wiped, but I love it so far, I am 100% looking forward to replay it again because heck, it will be another game and a complete different experience anyway!!! Nothing is ever the same here, and what people need to understand is, especially people that are used to repetitive spawn, shoot, kill, die, spawn, repeat x 10000000, is that this game is completely unique and has nothing to do with such games. Such players that love only those type of games (which is not my cup of tea), should remain playing such games, and other people that do not care about statistics, weapon skins, etc, and just want to have some serious fun and feel free, yet tiny in the vast size of the universe, then they should play this game. Statistic and weapon skin freaks will have just as a bad experience in this game, as players that do not care about those things would have in COD, BF, CSGO, etc....
