I'll just put this as short as possible, even while there would be a lot to say. Experiences are after a mere eight (8) games played with two friends.

Positive :

- Improved AI. Defensemen are actually pretty good now and you don't get instantly run over in 5 vs 3 like last year. Of course they're still AI, but humans make mistakes, too.

- Passing. Difficult at times, but all the more rewarding when you get down to it.

- Scoring is fun again and doesn't seem to rely on the same styles to score so often.

- Power Forward has been put up on the same line with everyone else when it comes to speed. Now I can actually imagine playing one, unlike last year.

- Boardplay. While we're (=our team) still coming short on utilizing it to the max, it's still great and adds depth.

- Goalies. Still making occasional mistakes, but do seem much more real and better now.

- All the minor improvements for setting up the game itself (better lobby-menu's, now you can see the shirt colours, etc.).

The negative :

- First and foremost, the hideous equipment. I suppose I could live with seeing other people wearing'em, but when I'm forced to wear stuff like camo-helmet and ugly-ass gloves/skates on my skater and pads/trapper/"shield" on my goalie if I want to compete on a same level as my opponents, something is definetely wrong.

- The new "play after whistle" feature. Totally useless in EASHL. Adds nothing to the game (same goes to fighting), since your guys don't even use energy, so why to buff'em up with it? And not only it's useless, it slows down the game tremendously, since you gotta wait like 10 seconds after every whistle, no matter if anyone is moving or not. Add the fact that you may be able to get a penalty from the opponent AI by just hitting him and get a powerplay with that, well...that's just not-so-great.

- Some menu's are rather slow, even compared to last year, taking the "instant" out of "instant replay" when it loads it up for 5-10 seconds every. single. time.

Conclusion :

So far so very good. If you put aside minor issues and announces and can overlook the so very ugly "you have to wear this skirt at some point" sort of gear, then this game would be close to being perfect. Now it's just a best NHL game to date.
