Most Realistic Hockey game to date!

I have been excited about NHL 10 since I heard the first rumors about board play, better goalies, and GM mode. While the passing on the default settings is pretty awful, managing the sliders I found a happy medium. The goalie force field is either completely removed or is so negligible I have not hit it yet, and being able to bat at pucks near the net instead of cross checking the defense in the face is a huge upside.

I have not delved far into Be A Pro, but I was drafted 5th overall and that was pretty cool, not sure how I feel about the slotted items you have to unlock though. Be a Gm so far is the most interesting addition. I spent my first year simming most of the season first to get to the trade deadline, and then to the playoffs. The deadline is really cool, there is a lot you can do there, it is too bad you cannot do 3 team trades, but what we have is epic in its own right. I am interested in seeing how my scouting assignments will help in the draft, maybe I will get some hidden gems or perhaps I can trade picks for a needed veteran?

All in all, this was definitely worth the wait.
