This game is litterally an updated version of NHL 09. It has new rosters, ratings etc... and some cool new animations. Hits are better, and saves look smooth. skating is nice, as always.

Board Play isnt so bad once you get the hang of it, but ruins the first few games you play.

The career mode thing isnt bad either, but the camera veiw, like Madden, is awkward.

The soundtrack is miserable as always with NHL games.

The reason this game is an 8 is because it isnt anything special, but not a letdown either. EA played it safe by making this game, as they took no risks. Been there, done that, with NHL 09. Cant beleive i paid for a roster update and the addition of board play. If your looking for a hockey game, get 09. save yourself twenty bucks and get a pizza or something. Ive logged about 25 repetative hours of game into this, and still feel as though ive been ripped off.

  For all the flak this game takes from reviewers about being the same game as last year... Shut it. This game rocks hard.
