Best hockey game since NHL '94 on Sega Genesis.
I imagine the team that designed this game (and its immediate predecessor) took a lot time and looked at what made the old Genesis NHL games so good; and it is my opinion that they did a good job bringing that sort of feel to the present day. When you combine that old school fun factor with all of the great new features, both online and off, the game truly sets itself apart, in a very good way.
NHL '10 is a no-brainer for hockey fans, and deserves serious consideration from any sports game fans out there.
The only noteworthy concern I would raise about the game, would be that there just might not be enough here to entice a casual fan of the series that already owns NHL '09, especially at $60.
I myself am very satisfied with NHL '10. I have lost more hours than I care to admit in the new "Be A GM" mode, and applaud EA Sports for this game, hoping they continue to deliver this sort of quality in the future. If you like hockey, you will like NHL '10. Very Highly Recommended.
