I'll get right to the point. GameDay '04 is not Madden by any stretch of the imagination. Kay? However, there are some things in this game that I liked better than Madden and ESPN. Let's talk graphics...or...type graphics...or...whatever! The overall graphics...well...well they're not good. There are a few good things about it, such as when a player runs, his shoulders move. That's cool. You can knock over the referees and when I first did that I spit the Mountain Dew out of my mouth AND my nose. That's good. The crowds are some of the best looking crowds I have seen in a football game. Everything else pretty much is mediocre. The only thing bad, really, about the sound is the commentating. And the music. And the crowds. Otherwise everything's fine. Now, this game has probably some of the worst AI than in any football game. On both sides of the ball. Whenever I'm on defense and a ball's coming at my DB, I jump up to tip the ball. I tip it backwards and it land in the WR's hand anyway, so the physics aren't good either. It's also almost impossible to kick as well, especially because the camera shifts and you don't know what the hell you're aiming at. Otherwise everything's fine. If you don't care about which football game you want, get this. If you do, get Madden. Otherwise, stay away from GameDay. 7.0 out of 10. +Referees fall down! +Great crowds +Shoulders move when players run -Mediocre sound -Bad physics and AI -Madden and ESPN are SO much better
