Deep Silver said the PC version of Saints Row IV was a top performer, selling three times the number of units compared to early sales of Saints Row: The Third on PC.

"We are incredibly happy of the reception for Saints Row IV as a critical and now a commercial success," said Deep Silver parent company Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz. "The development team at Volition is second-to-none as a driving creative force in the entertainment industry and we are very proud to have them as part of the Deep Silver family."

Koch Media purchased developer Volition and the Saints Row franchise during THQ's bankruptcy auction in January for $22.3 million.

Saints Row: The Third's canceled expansion--Enter the Dominatrix--will be the first downloadable content for Saints Row IV, arriving later this fall. For more on Saints Row IV, check out GameSpot's review.
