TOKYO - Late last week Capcom announced its new PlayStation game, called Onimusha - Demon Warrior. The game takes place in an age of Civil War in Japan, when Nobunaga Oda ruled. The gameplay is much like that of a Bio Hazard/Resident Evil game, if it were set in Japan's "medieval" times.

The game's scenarios were created by Flagship (Yoshiki Okamoto's company). The game places players in a castle searching for a kidnapped cousin. Of course, the castle's got plenty of traps and mysteries, so it won't be easy.

The game will be released this winter in Japan, with a US release date expected to follow sometime in 2000.
