Blast! Entertainment has announced that it will be making a game based on Mr. Bean, the British television comedy starring Rowan Atkinson. Mr. Bean will be released on the PlayStation 2, and Blast! has not yet announced a release date for the game.

Details are slim, but Blast! says the game will be targeted toward a younger audience and feature the bumbling character "avoiding tricky traps and problem solving along the way to find his missing Teddy with the help of Bean's girlfriend Irma Gobb."

Mr. Bean is extremely popular across the pond, particularly among youngsters. In the show, Atkinson plays the titular character--a simple man who seems to get into peculiar situations even with the most common activities. Mr. Bean's Holiday, a feature film based on the character, was just released in the UK.

Blast! has not yet announced any plans to release the game in the US.
