The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) today announced that its Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has received a number of awards following its 10th anniversary earlier this month. The first award, from Exhibit Surveys, names E3 as the trade show with the "highest buying power" in the nation--meaning that it has the largest percentage of attendees who actually plan to purchase products exhibited at the show within six months.

Separately, the International Association of Exhibit Managers (IAEM) has bestowed three awards on E3, including best show daily, best overall Web site, and best e-mail promotional campaign. E3 was also recently named the 31st largest trade show in the country in Tradeshow Week magazine's "Tradeshow 200" rankings.

"E3Expo management works hard to ensure that the show delivers maximum value for its exhibitors, and we are thrilled to receive the Exhibit Surveys award, validating our efforts to offer E3Expo exhibitors the highest-quality attendee base with which to conduct the business of games," said Douglas Lowenstein, president of the ESA, the trade association that owns E3Expo and represents US computer and video game publishers. "We appreciate the recognition by both Exhibit Surveys and the IAEM and will continue to strive to make E3Expo the best trade show on earth for both exhibitors and attendees."

The 10th E3 held in Los Angeles earlier this month hosted more than 400 exhibitors and welcomed more than 65,000 industry professionals from 87 different countries over its four days. You can check out all of our coverage from this year's show at our E3 index page.
