For weeks, the industry has been rife with speculation that Microsoft would use the upcoming Game Developers Conference to announce something monumental--something that would significantly move the Xbox narrative forward. While not exactly tipping its hand, the company did open up regarding a topic that it had kept closely guarded--exactly who would present the GDC keynote address. Today Microsoft announced that Vice Presidents Robbie Bach and J. Allard would deliver the speech (to be titled "Turning Innovation Into Impact").

Microsoft said the keynote will seek to illuminate the process for turning great ideas into profitable gaming enterprises and will focus on software rather than hardware.

Also slated to present during the 60-minute block are Technology Director Laura Fryer and Lead Technical Evangelist for Windows Gaming and Graphics Chris Donahue. The keynote address will take place on Wednesday, March 24, at 10:30am.
