I liked the previous game in this HOG series, finishing it in just two long spells of gameplay. This one, however, was long and tedious and took forever to end. At nearly 9 hours it's the longest time I've ever spent on a HOG. There were some satisfying moments when solving puzzles felt rewarding but overall it's far too drawn-out, especially when you get into the unrelated bonus chapter.
I also don't like being advertised to after making a purchase, and NYM:SOTM does exactly that every time you see the title screen. Achievements are included, but no trading cards. I got 19/20, missing out on one of them because I made an accidental impatient click when I shouldn't have. A mistake that couldn't be undone. What a cheap shot!
Only just barely a thumb-up, this was an overwrought bore that should have been about four hours shorter.
