Maybe not the best fighter, but sure is better than CAPCOM FIGHTING EVOLUTION by far...

User Rating: 7.5 | NeoGeo Battle Coliseum PS2
Dispite the fact that it's sorta like CAPCOM FIGHTING EVOLUTION, at least this game has 40 characters versus 20+. This is one thing I do like about NeoGeo, they know how to keep fans happy by putting in some really good stuff.

GRAPHICS
=========
Overall, most of the characters haven't changed much from their counter parts from their respective game. Animations are very smooth and work well with a lot of the action and the battles. Backgrounds are very nice touch. Some of the backgrounds include familiar characters that you have seen from other NeoGeo games, mostly from King Of Fighters and other fighter games. Most of the playable characters are the commonly played characters that made them some famous to begin with. Overall, nothing really to get excited about, it's your typical 2D fighter with 2D sprites.

CONTROL
=========
Nothing really changed much here either. If you are familiar with how the NEOGEO buttons are set up, then you know how to play most, if not all, the NEOGEO characters. 4 buttons (2 punch & 2 kick) and your typical fighter controls. All the characters familiar moves are still there with a few added bonuses to boost the playability and replay value. It is interesting to see that most characters have at least 2, if not more, super moves.

OVERALL
========
The only interesting thing is how they included other characters from other NEOGEO games such as the guy from METAL SLUG, Cyber Monkey from KING OF THE MONSTERS, 4 characters from Samurai Showdown, characters from Fatal Fury, characters from Art Of Fighting, and a few misc. characters from other various fighters, including some bosses, which is a nice touch. Overall, if you have played previous other fighters from NEOGEO, then you won't be disappointed with this game. If you are a fighting fan, as well as a NEOGEO fan, this is one game you won't be disappointed with.
