It could have been so good....
For example it would have been better if they didn't punt in a "story mode". You have to agree with me that the way they implemented the story is just not right. Same goes for the everlasting voice from the announcers, it gets on your nerves after a while.
About the races, those speed challenges, it is like you have no control over the car. There is no realism in it, even the AI of the opponents is questionable. It's like they are trying to bury you with there 100.000 dollar cars. Acts like braking in a straight line are not uncommon. Also the warm up game you have to play with drag races, what were they thinking.
But it isn't all bad. I like the way how the interface works. And the way drifting now takes place is also improved from the last games.
In retrospect the game isn't hard to play, but it can be very annoying. For me the fact that this game can be very annoying makes me wonder how the next NFS game is going to turn out. In the ratings of the last games it has shown a declining line. I really hope the next one is going to be better, and can turn around this trend the series has taken.
Even so, if you're going to play the game, have fun!
