Best in series!
It's a complete racing game from start to finish-there are 5 modes:test drive, single race, hot pursuit, tournament & special event.At the special event section there are numerous challenges including the knockout challende.There is also an Porsche Cup there so...NFS 5 Porsche isn't the best in series,since it's only destined for Porsche Cars.
You get to race through the finnest locations in Europa & North America.It has 7 normal tracks & 3 raceways:
Route Adonf-France, Celtic Ruins-Scotland, Kindiak Park-Canada, Snowy Ridge-USA, Landstrasse-Germany, Dolphin Cove-USA & Durhan Road-England; Raceway 1-Italy, Raceway 2-USA & Raceway 3-Spain.
You have an option to upgrade your car,there are 3 levels of upgrading it & each have a specific price in credits.When you want to choose a level upgrade just highlight & buy it-that's it,there's no hard tunning,complicated stuff like in Gran Turismo.To me,the gameplay is nearly flawless when playing it with the dualshock controller,i don't know want you think but for me it's a real pleasure to play this game, gameplay 9.5/10.The music is great,adrenaline electro-rave,something like that.The graphics are good,almost great,almost-7.9/10.
There is a section called Trophy Room divided into 2 parts:Tournament & Special Events where you can visualise what you have won during the whole game.
This game is an upgraded version in every aspect of NFS 3-Hot Pursuit.The big "+" over it are the credits which allow you to buy/sell cars...a wide variety of cars,from the Camaro,BMW etc to the McClaren F1.
At the Tournament mode there are 6 major Competitions,from the newbie amateur all the way up to the expert level where you can drive for the first time in the Raceway tracks,it's very hard there even to win the bronze medal but i've made with great luck-i had #1 place,#6 & #6!(you have 5 opponents in each race).I had the same amount of points as the racer placed below me.You need to spend lots of countless hours to win the first Raceway-the other are "criminal".Winining a better medal/throphy you automatically unlock Events at the Special Event section.I managed to unlock 5/8.
My fav. track is Kindiak Park-Canada.I feel like "home" there.The best music track is Electro Optik,it could have been a Major Clubbing Hit...
High Stakes will remain forever the best in the NFS series.Period.It's almost as great as Gran Turismo.
