Some gameplay fixes aside, it's virtually the same game as last year and is not worth spending $60 on.

Keeping this one short, sweet, and to the point:

Sound: Commentary is fine, menu music is the same as it always is, but the sounds of the marching bands often overlap and ends up sounding messy.

Graphics: Not much of an upgrade here. The crowd is slightly more detailed, but I wish they would have been more enthusiastic after big plays. However, there is this weird issue with faces having to load whenever you see them during the coin flip. That's just pretty lazy programming right there.

Gameplay: Gone are the psychic linebackers and DBs that could read your every throw. It makes the game easier, but it's a little tougher to run this time around. There are still some glaring issues that have not been addressed regarding players that don't turn around to catch a pass, some rather impossible interceptions made by the AI, and many changes need to be made to Road To Glory; especially with play calls. If I see another Four Verticals called on the 1-yard line, I'm going to scream.

Overall: This year's version of NCAA Football isn't a bad game. In fact, if someone hadn't played the series in a few years, this one will come as a welcome surprise to many. However, for those of us that have been playing this series for a while, it just doesn't seem to be worth the asking price. Thankfully, EA will let the exclusive license lapse and will hopefully make EA get its act together and give gamers a much-needed overhaul of the engine.
