Campus Legend and great controls makes the game so addictive!

I'm not a college football fan but this is a great game. This version is the only one I tried and I can see why this franchise is popular and some people like it better than the Madden titles. Creating a college student and having him practice and slowly building up his skills and grades while trying to attain the campus legend is great! The graphics are not the best but the animation is really excellent for the PS2. There's so many ways you can get tackled or break a tackle... everything is fluid. The sound effects are awesome and will make you feel every tackle. The crowd noise is fantastic and will have you pumped up! Your College fight song may get you on your nerves but whatever.. this game shines in the sound department.
I'm not a huge fan of Football and I was always overwhelmed by trying to figure out the controls but this game just feels right. After a couple of games I was shaking and baking, doing 40 yard field goals, doing circus catches and sacking the QB. And all these things felt awesome! The ability to import your created player in Madden 08 draft class is a great feature.
This is a solid sports game and highly recommended!
