Namco Museum Battle Collection is an early attempt at creating a retro collection for the PSP, and is a fair one at that

User Rating: 8 | Namco Museum Battle Collection PSP
This game collects many of the old Namco label games that represent the earliest video games to ever exist. These games not only bring back memories (for those who were children in the eighties) but they are games for the sake of games, as opposed to due to realistic or superb graphics. The retro collection is split into the exact emulation of the classics, as well as some remakes using modern graphics. This added value segment basically allows you to “replay” the classic games such as Pac-Man with a modernized feel. The Namco Museum suffers from more than normal load times. This is certainly forgivable, since the PSP was fresh on the market when this game was released. You can adjust the screen ratio (wide, fit, normal) in order to customize the feel of the game. Many of the games are also just flat out boring, so don't expect every game out the fourteen to be gems. That doesn't really matter, since the Namco Muesum is a real deal, like most compilation game collections. GRAPHICS: 8/10 (Retro is pure power. The re-makes are all right as well)
SOUND: 8/10 (Original sounds are re-created well, which isn't saying much)
CONTROLS: 9/10 (Primitive games means easy to emulate – no issues here)
DIFFICULTY: VARIABLE (Games vary greatly – its a compilation of games.)
VALUE: 6/10 (Some games are a little 'too retro' for the most of us.)
LOAD TIMES: MEDIUM (Could be better for such old games) OVERALL: 8/10 (This represents one of the earliest compilation collections for the PSP )
