What could have been a fun game about the generation 4 ponies turns into a big grind fest filled with tedious quests.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic certainly has had some bumpy roads, but all the more makes it an amazing series. Coming from a niche little girls show, to something the nerd masses considered to be, at least, a quality show. So when Game Loft said they were making a game for MLPFiM series many bronies such as myself were stoked to play it. The fact that it was free helped feed the hype train. And once the game was out many people, including myself found it to be a sweet ride about building your own Pony ville. Unfortunately what many didn't expect was a tedious grind system wrinkled with expensive money grabbing tactics.

Its not that MyLittlePony app is a bad concept of a game, its just the way Game Loft had executed it. Game Loft pretty much made anything in the game cost an insane amount of money around 1/3 the way through the game. The cost of the quests they give you grow exponentially so till you have to physically forfeit money or a lot of time just to get one quest done. Eventually you will hit a gem wall and simply have to pay. And even then its not even the worst MyLittlePony offers. MyLittlePony is riddled with a lot of tedious grinding from constantly playing with the ponies over and over and over again just to get their stars up, but also having to wait for shards to produce at a random amount in order to clear away all the elements of harmony. Overall, this game doesn't lend itself well to impatience people, and as such should not be given to younger kids in fear they may spend all your money just to upgrade their town.

If that weren't enough, the android version of the game (if not the iphone/ipad too) is riddled with bugs and glitches. From simply trying to add friends to a friend list to visiting other peoples towns only to have the game itself shut down. And if that isn't enough to drive you away the game just may glitch on you and erase all your data for no apparent reason. That's what happened to me, and why I won't continue to play this mediocre game anymore.

Really if you want a MLPFiM experience I suggest you just look up so fan art, play some pony modded games, or listen to some pony music. Heck even watch the show again! But don't look here, its fun for a little while, but it will eventually take to long and require too much of your time for even the little things.
