Stick With Untamed and Alive

MX vs ATV All Out Review: So I just bought MX vs ATV All Out. I have played every game in this series and always loved them, even with their faults. I felt they made some good progress going from Alive to Supercross Encore and was once excited when this game was announced. However again, they have taken away features instead of adding features. They've stuck to the small open world maps for free ride and have only given us a few to ride on. Once again at launch they offer very few vehicles to choose from. They still haven't brought back the sand rails, monster trucks or oddball vehicles which are the things people have been asking for since Untamed did it on the 360 all those years ago. In this day and age you don't take away features, you add features. You don't shrink your maps, you make them bigger. You don't take vehicles away, you add more. You don't remove race categories, you add them. The stats on the bikes are all wrong and have no relation to how the bikes run or handle in game. They have it set so a stock 125cc has higher stats and is more powerful than a stock 250cc and as fast as a 500cc and actually jumps father and lands better than both. They have the smaller, slower 125cc that used to barely make the big doubles, now over jumping the triples and quadruples like it's a 500cc, making riding it on a track very difficult. It no longer matters what you ride, other than sound, they all do about the same thing. Also, they're physically the same size in game too, there's no scaling of the bikes in relation to the rider, when in reality a 125cc should be about v2/3 or smaller than a bigger 450cc or 500cc. It also doesn't matter what terrain you're riding in, the bike handles the same, plus turns and stops like it's on pavement, making it even more unrealistic, you can't slide or drift anymore. The frame rate is so bad, the lag and tearing so predominant as you're trying to ride, even without anyone else racing, that it's almost unplayable. The physics are horrendous and the bikes handle so unrealistically, the controls are awful and can't be adjusted, sensitively wise, to mitigate it. It's as if whoever designed it has never played any of the old games or has ever rode a motorcycle. Playing in an actual event or online makes all these issues even more noticable. The wait and load time between each and every event, or even between switching bikes in the garage, is worse than most old school PlayStation 1 games. Either they didn't test the game or they knowingly released an unfinished game. It's going to take a ridiculous amount of time, patches and fixes to make this game playable... If they even can fix it. All they had to do was upgrade Encore's graphics a little bit and release new maps, instead they may have killed the franchise. You'd think these companies would have leaned after watching Mass Effect Andromeda what happens to beloved games when they release them in this state. Please, save your money and just play the old ones. #MXvsATV #THQNordic #RainbowStudios #WheresMyRefund
