I just picked up MVP Baseball 2004 for the Gamecube a few days ago, and i'll have to say it is a better game than last years version. This year, in the franchise mode, you not only have to manage your major league team, but you also have to manage your minor league operations, and even though you don't get quite in depth as you do in the MLB, it certainly adds a little more value into an already value-packed game. Also new is the EA Sports Pure Swing System, basically by moving the control stick in a certain direction you can pretty much place the ball anywhere on the field. For Instance if you want to hit a ground between first and second, you have to keep the control stick moving down, while tilting towards that gap on the diamond. If you want to hit a homerun, you just lift the stick higher, and depending on the batter you can hit one out on the right or left side. This new Swing System really makes batting that much more fun. Most everything else is the same, even though i know i'm ommiting something, this is a very fun game and i encourage that you pick it up regardeless of what platform your working off of.
