A great sequel that puts monster hunter's potential to great use, but not perfect.

User Rating: 8.5 | Monster Hunter Tri WII
Presentation: 7.5
There really isn't much of a story in monster hunter, then again it was never about the story. Basically, a sea monster terrorizes you home and its up to you to stop it.
Graphics: 9.5
Absolutely Gorgeous to look at, who said wii can't have good graphics? The animations are superb and are some great detail in the environments.
Gameplay: 8.0
Monster Hunter is not the kind of level up ordeal, basically you do quests, and kill enemies to combine your minerals to make better weapons and armor. The game is critically tough, but when you take down a huge monster, it's oh so satisfying. Online is also outstanding with no lag, there are a few weird moments were it looks like your allies are attacking air. But it works perfect on major bosses. Weird. Classic Controller is the best way on the game, as nunchuk controls feel meh and can be frustrating at times. Also, whenever you heal there's this pose that leaves you wide open for attack and it really sucks.
Sound: 8.0
So, the voice acting is basically gibberish and text, but the music is pretty awesome, and the roars and sound effects are great.
Lasting Appeal: 8.5
Powering yourself up and showing him online, as well as playing with others definitely make this a long game.

Final Verdict: 8.5/10 Great!
Actual Score: 8.3
Monster Hunter Tri is a great game despite the flaws around it, its fun and online is an absolute blast.
