The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie game is a pretty basic beat-em'-up with Power Ranger gimmicks.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie was first shown in theaters in 1995 and was accompanied by a video game of the same name. The Sega Genesis version of the game, however, is not solely based on the feature film, but also takes memorable moments from the first few seasons of the TV show.
The basic gameplay of the Power Rangers Movie game is simple, the B button attacks, the C jumps or guards (depending on if you are playing as a Zord or not), and the A button uses a special attack. At the beginning of the level, you are allowed to choose between any of the Power Rangers or Zords. From there, you either progress through a stage by defeating Oozemen or the Putty Patrol as a Power Ranger, or you defeat a certain boss from the TV show, such as the Sentinel trio, or the movie, such as Ivan Ooze's ectomorphicons, Hornitron and Scorpitron.
There are some bits of voice acting, but they are not provided by the actors in the show or movie. They only consist of phases and battle grunts. Other than that, the sounds are completely original from the show and movie.
The graphics are pretty impressive, considering the generation of gaming this game was released in. They take the look of a hand-drawn comic or cartoon, and accurately depict the Rangers, major enemies, such as Goldar, Lord Zedd, and the Sentinel sisters, and minor enemies, such as the Oozemen and Putties.
The game features a two player cooperative mode. The only difference between the singleplayer and cooperative modes are the fact that the two players share credits, or continues. It is also a battle for the better of the two Zord choices, the Falconzord and the White Tigerzord.
There are some Power Ranger gimmicks present in the game. Fixed enemies will drop specific Power Coins, the coins the Power Rangers need to morph, which give the player that collected it a bonus. For example, the White Tiger Power Coin will give the player a full bar of health, and the Tyrannosaurus Coin will give the player a credit.
Overall, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie isn't a faithful adaption to the movie, but it includes levels for three of the second season's episodes: "White Light," where the Green Ranger is transformed into the White Ranger, "A Ninja Encounter," and "The Power Transfer," where Rocky, Aisha, and Adam receive their Ranger powers. This game is purely for fans of the beginning of the Power Rangers seasons 1-4.
