Whoever reviewed this for GS must've been high on something.
This game is awful. It makes Castlevania 2 look good. And that's horrible.
This won't be an in-depth review. It'll be an annoyed, angry one. I only managed to play the game for maybe 8 minutes before I threw it at the wall. It's that horrible.
First off, the controls are HORRIBLE. Really awkward and annoying. This might be connected with the perspective, wich is also absolutely horrible. Racing games should either be first person, or something alike. It should not be a bird view!
There is a lot of variation, that's true. But it's not necessarily good. The cars all suck. Mickey's car is most probably the best one. The tracks are horrible, and you get this tiny warning at thge top of the screen before a turn, and it's never in time.
A good thing is probably both the 2-player mode. Which is rare for Game Boy games, it really is. I haven't tried it, as no-one has gotten this crappy game, but me. I found it at a market, and bought it for 25 NOK. Which is about 5 USD. Also, there's a learning mode. I don't see why you need too learn to park, but I guess it might come in handy somewhere later in the game. Heck, I don't care, I'll never play this game again!
So I guess if you take a racing game, slap on Mickey, Disney, a few other characters, and add the word "Adventure", BOOM. You've got an awesome game. I hate it.
