I cant believe after reading some pretty harsh reviews by GS they gave this game a 9.7 what the heck were they thinking?

I remember renting this game from blockbuster after seeing an amazing 9.7 for this game. which must have been, what? two, three years ago? i recall as well that after an hour of playing it asking myself "am i playing the same game that they are playing?" To put it simply...I was bored -and the last thing any video game should let u feel is boredom. to be honest, i did only play it for bout two hours so im pretty sure it must have gotten better--BUT i didnt care to find out what happened next! BOOM! theres your first problem. Im playing this game not understanding what the hell is going on except i need to run around and run around. The enemies are BORING! killing isnt fun. did u hear what i just said!??? KILLING IS NOT FUN!! BOOM! problem #2. its a huge pain in the butt to run back into a room u were just in only 5 seconds ago to find all the bad guys u killed respawned and u have to kill them again ( this is especially painful cus there is SO much backtracking!!!) O.K. so the graphics are pretty amazing but if u fast foreward to games in 2005 its not that great. sound was pretty good so was controls...blah blah blah... but besides that I DIDNT HAVE FUN! no fun. I was booored. Now your probably seeing my 7.1 and saying well thats just one crazy guys opinion, look at all these other great recommendations for the game! well, so, maybe its a fun game but i just could not get past the first two hours. it felt as if my mother had given me a shopping list and now i have to run around the supermarket looking for what she wants.ZZzzzzz. So i'm guessing it does get better but i didnt care to find out! (hmm.i feel like i said that already). It just didnt compel me to find out what happens next. All in all, its like that book your friend is raving about, telling u to "read this book! read this book!" and ur not interested enough to turn to page 7 wondering if ur friend is on crack. So before u buy this game i suggest renting it first- and if u like it, Hey good for u! go get it and have a blast. but if end up buying this game and saying oh man, what is this crap! well... i told u so...
