You got to hand it to Neo Geo for sticking to their "Guns", and not giving up traditional 32 bit 2D video games without a "Fight". This game not only features improved graphics, controls, music, sound, and difficulty over its predecessor; it now gives you the welcome option to select between four different protagonist choices. And while the action is still as intense as ever, it feels more forgiving this time around; due to the difficulty increasing more gradually, as opposed to the first game that ramped it up hard, and never really let down! This is the game where the trademark humor and science fiction elements started to pick up steam! You get to ride a weaponized camel, you can be turned into a mummy, you can ride a hopping vehicle that shoots downward, you can fly a plane, and you can rescue as many P.O.W.'s as you want, in order to increase your score, and gain valuable weapons to use in your fight against General Mordred, who's teamed up with evil alien invaders from Mars! You'll have to fight against Mummies, zombie mutants, alien mutants, and aliens in flying saucers before everything is said and done! Even on the easiest level of difficulty for this game, DON'T expect it to be easy! I consider myself an expert, and it STILL took me 66 lives on one continue before I completely beat the game! Still, it is well worth it to play the entire game through at least once, and achieve a piece of video game immortality, by scoring a high score! This is a really enjoyable run and gun game, and I highly recommend fans of video games from the late 1990's, to play this amazing game at least once. Enough said, true believers!
