Not incredibly innovative, by Atlus standards ALMOST a let down. But in the greater scheme a really good game.

First let's get the negative out of the way. Not a whole lot of innovation, less storyliine than I normally like and the items and upgrades can seem to be a bit lacking. I picked up the game because it was Atlus. Expecting something FANTASTIC. Unfortunately, the name Atlus brings great expectations, which I feel the game fell short of. Nonetheless it is a very good game. The dialogue is witty and fun. The open environment can leave some lost, but allows for a lot of random running around and just exploring while the game still "progresses". If you are a hard-core story-line gamer this title is probably not for you. However, if you just like to play, then definately give it a shot. I'm somewhere in between, and honestly would have scored a bit lower except that I am a mecha/tank nut >.
