Definately a must have for any MGS fan

User Rating: 9.5 | Metal Gear Solid HD Edition VITA
Konami have done well with this game, it still acheives the same HD visual quality on the vita screen as it does on a large screen.

The use of the touch screen to compensate the missing L2 and R2 buttons aswell as the use of the rear touch pad is perfectly done.

Only one bad thing i can say for this game, but its more of a problem with the VITA not the game, is the PS2 had pressure sensitive buttons, which allowed you to aim without shooting an enemy if you released the button.

I also noticed this on the 360 version, if you accidently hold an enemy up and they say go ahead shoot, and you need to swap from your tranquilizer to a real gun, on the PS2 you gently released the button, on the VITA you have to exit first person mode, then touch the weapon select and change (similar process on the 360) and find sometimes you end up shooting the guard.

This game is a MUST HAVE for any MGS fan or if your into a stealth game, this is up your street.

People complain the fact it lacks MGS PW but this isnt a problem because the vita version has plently to offer.

If actualy gamers (not sony hating fanboys) take into account if a 3rd full game were to be added it would require a larger game cart.

would this justify the increased game retail cost when MGS PW can be purchased for less on the PSN store.

Personally I never took on MGS PW because to me it didnt feel the same, it felt more like mission based just like Portable Ops but this time had an orrigional plot line written by Kojima.

So im happy that MGS PW was left out of the vita version, because i didnt like it on the PSP and wouldnt like it if i had to pay extra for MGS HD on the VITA because it included a game that i wouldnt play.
