Don't judge a game by it's cover, or lack of advertisement.

User Rating: 9.5 | Metal Arms: Glitch in the System GC
When I first saw the rare ads of Metal Arms in Nintendo Power, I saw it as a heartless child's game that didn't have a chance in being one of my favorite games. I ignored it, and paid attention to Metroid Prime or who knows what was coming out then.
Years later, my brother betrayed our beloved N-64 and bought an X-Box, it was fun. We played fun games like Mech Assault and KoToR. Then, we had a lack for games. We patrolled the rentals section at a video store when we saw Metal Arms. I remembered it, and thought it was a kids game, when I saw the ESRB rating. T for cartoon violence and INTENSE LANGUAGE.
I was shocked.
We cracked it open and tried out some multiplayer, it was AMAZING. The graphics were great, the gameplay was solid, it was my dream game.
--Graphics--
For this part, I would say really good. On X-Box, really solid. GCN - good, but could be better. PS2: needs improvement. Missions with larger maps had toned-down textures so it would run faster, but I was fine with that.
--Controls--
Really good for X-Box and GCN, never tried PS2 though. Very simple-ish and easy to learn.
--Single Player--
Very good, and very LONG. The story seemed like random missions at first, but it was all connected in one solid gameplay. With over 40 missions, I never got bored. Downside: difficulty. It had some really hard and annoying parts, but still really fun. The story is that a Doctor named Exavolt was attempting to advance Droid technology beyond limits. (they're all robots).
One of his experiments went wrong, and resulted in an explosion. This also resulted in the creation of a militaristic bot named General Corrosive, who built an army of Mil bots and enslaved the droids. Then, a droid named Colonel Alloy stepped up and built a hidden Droid village and begun a rebellion, you are a custom-built droid found off-line in ruins, once brought online, you became the one-bot army to save the droids.
--Gameplay--
Very fun, in single player, battles can get to Roman preportions. Hundreds of deadly Mill-bots coming your way to tear you to shreds, and you stand with a SPEW in one hand, and a coring charge (grenade) in the other.
On PS2, though, it often slowed down noticably due to the epic preportions.
And get this: You can shoot limbs off of enemy bots. Good bye to your chain-gun arm, mister Titan! You can also take over enemy bots, but the game will explain that for you ; )
--Multiplayer--
Very solid, a good selection of vehicles and weapons. But needs an online mode.

All in all, this game is very solid and very fun. I recommend it. But, if you get hooked on it, remember. Metal Arms II will never come out due to lack of sales and advertisements.

Ups and downs.
+Very fun gameplay.
+Good selection of guns and vehicles
+most excellent graphics
+great campaign
+overall awesome-ness
-which can be very difficult
-can lag if epic-ness is too much
