Don't you hate when a game is worse than it's predecessor?

And that's exactly what Mega Man X2 is, worse than Mega Man X. Now why might you ask? Well let's start with the basics the levels. While in the first game you had intense levels filled with great music and cool scenes such as riding the spiked red thing in armadillo level, in this game you have short and tedious levels with almost nothing memorable about them. (No escaping an instant death scenario by climbing as fast as you can is not what I'm referring to) Second they didn't add anything cool. Alright the air dash is cool but honestly that is it. The armor is basically the same, the gameplay is unchanged (could be a positive) and the new attacks that you get are in general a lot lamer. I mean seriously, bubbles? Also I found the bosses to be easier this time around. Maybe this is because i was a little kid when i played the first, but I was able to beat 3 of the bosses with just the xbuster and all the basic equipment instead of just the standard chill penguin, soaring eagle. Also sigma was WAY easier this time around. I beat him on my first try with only two sub tanks, whereas in the first I would need about two sub tanks just to get past jedi sigma. I probably thought the hardest boss was serges when he was in the tank, maybe zero, but to be fair I only fought agile for the first time bc I had no idea what was going on with that. The format of the game is exactly identical, 8 levels with a maverick boss then a few sigma stages. Even the sigma stages were lame, one of them was just a big room with teleporters to all the previous bosses, thats not a level. Also what the hell was wrong with the mini bosses. I mean a sword, some bug in a trash suit, seriously what were they doing in between these two games, just jacking off the whole time?
As usual, I'm being unfair. Mega Man x2 was actually overall pretty fun, but there is no doubt in my mind and you could never convince me that it was better than the original. It was worse in nearly every conceivable way, and that sirs is unforgivable.
