X is back!

User Rating: 9 | Mega Man X Collection PS2
If you know the MegaMan/RockMan series at all, you'll know the formula for pretty much all MegaMan games. They have always been a good staple of action games, but the X series takes it a step up from the original series (MegaMan, sans X). While just about anyone can play, and probably beat, MegaMan and X games, it takes a true master to fully conquer them and discover all the hidden secrets. I'm no master, but the X series offered something deeper than the normal "run, jump, shoot, and avoid death" formula that the original series featured. The X series added in upgrades that were unavoidable to hidden status, and also started to add in other playable characters than MegaMan himself (like Zero, fully equiped with buster than Z-saber!). The X series also began to add in SOME bit of story, not usually that deep, but just deeper than the 'robots are trying to take over the world, so MegaMan must stop them' that was present in nearly EVERY original game. This is still on of my favorite platformer series, even in 2010. This is simply one collection that every MegaMan fan cannot go without, and the price is nothing to break the bank. A must have for any fan!
