Megaman and soccer? What could go wrong...a few things I'm afraid.

Megaman soccer is nothing more than a basic soccer game but instead of people, you have Megaman characters.

The gameplay is very basic. Just a constant:

..pass...shoot...saved...booted...headbutt....stolen...pass...pass...shoot...goal

The graphics aren't all that good. They look like mini action figures, playing soccer rather than their counterparts. The music a repetitive beat of 8-bit tones. It isn't bad or good.

You can do special moves once in a while, by pressing L + R + Shoot. The character will then shoot the ball at the net with a special effect added (ex. Skullman's Special - the ball blasts through the air causing anyone that hits it (including goalie), to be stunned). The special moves is a good way to shift the momentum in the game, but the use of them is limited.

The game is fun and entertaining and a good game for you and a friend to try and beat together. The game is quite difficult, as you'll find out once you start playing. You'll find yourself constantly wrestling over the ball. Megaman Soccer can be a fun way to pass the time by youself or with buddies. Either way, Megaman fanatics must get this game. But if you aren't a Megaman fanatic, there are other games that you should check out before researching this one.
