Everyone remembers the MegaMan Battle Network games, right? Those games where you were on a battlefield, facing electronic viruses, instead of the normal robots? Well, MegaMan is one of the biggest series in video game history, right up there with Sonic, Mario, Rayman, all of them. MegaMan Battle Network 5 was one of the better MegaMan Battle Network games, introducing the 'liberation missions', which gave a whole new kind of challenge to the game, a, pardon the reuse of the word, liberating challenge. The limited amount of time to get the big prize sometimes put me in a rush, which isn't really what you would want from a game such as these. But, it's also a very fun thing to do, just waste away your time repeating your favorite liberation mission, with the gold "Progs" in these such areas you do them in, which allow you to repeat them over and over again, as much as you want.

The designs for MMBN 5, especially the new characters, were very repetitive. They reused some of the sprits from MMBN 4, but only the ones for the returning characters, like MegaMan, ProtoMan, Roll, GutsMan, Glyde, and some other protaganists. They even brought Dr. Regal back, which was a nice twist, considering he jumped off a building in MMBN 4. The new ones, however, were very fitting for that character's personality, whatever that might have been. Meddy, for example, is a healer, and is wearing a nurse's cap to symbolise that.

The music was also good, bringing back some old themes, with minor tweaks made to make them sound better. ACDC Town's theme was a very nostalgic feeling, the town being the only place to remain almost the same throughout the entire series...or, at least the theme did, anyway.

All in all, this game is a very good game, even if it did have its own good share of flaws. If I was to put it simply, I would say this: This MMBN game was one of the better ones, with its team-related missions, great music, and tough battles. That's all I can do to sum it up. If you're looking for a good, but challenging and very immersive, game, you should check this game out.
