Story (10/10)
As in the first Mega Man, you take control of Lan and his electronic partner Mega Man. The story kicks off right after the first game, and Lan once again has to save the internet. In this game Lan will travel not only through his town and the web, but also will travel to different countries, both in the real world and with Mega Man on the Net.

Gameplay (9/10)
The brilliantly innovative gameplay that was developed in the original carries over directly to this version, with just a few small changes. New battle chips are available, along with many new places to go and viruses to destroy.

In MMBN II, random battles are fought on the internet with viruses. This game is unlike most RPGs, where battles are turn-based and fought in parties. Mega Man fights alone with the help of battle-chips. At certain points during a turn, battle chips are selected for Mega Man to fight with. Each virus has a certain amount of health that must be depleted in order to win. The best part of the battle system is the variety of enemies you will face. Each virus has a different style of attack, and so many different strategies will need to be formulated to be successful.

When not fighting on the web, Lan is running around town fulfilling different tasks that change throughout the game.

Graphics (9/10)
Once again the cartoony graphics are flawless. At points when traveling the internet, many different paths can create confusion on where to go. Other than that, there is no problem.

Improvements (9/10)
Previous Game:
Mega Man Battle Network (9.25/10)

There is probably more that could have been improved on, but the game did not get any worse.

Durability (8/10)
The game, as in the first, has a decently long storyline. The difficulty level is challenging, but never too frustrating. On the downside, there is no replayability factor.

Overall Score (9.1/10)
Rounded Score (9/10)

Final Thoughts:
Definitely worth buying, but only after playing the first game in the series.
