Truly an underated game, but not without its flaws!

I when i bought this game, i didnt check the reviews and opinions that existed, and so was on the doubt if i should buy it or not, but stilll bought it, for 30 bucks. Right now im happy that i didnt looked at the reviews because if i had i wouldnt have bought this game. Lots of things like bad graphics or horrible framerate is going around but i think those people just cant aprecciate a good fps.

Graphics: The graphics are great, not perfect or something like killzone 2, but good, i simple dont understand the comments that have been going around, the levels look great and the little touch of making the enemies snipers scopes shine in the distance so that you could see them is just brilliant.

Gameplay: I really got a lot to say here, a lot of the normal First Person Shooter mecahnics have been altered here and so at the first 20 or 30 minutes you just shout at the screen as you die and incompriensible death, and i say this because it happened to me, but as soon as you get used to the mechanics it turns out a great game, while aiming you cant move, its true, but the fact that you can lean in every direction is just as good, if not better, because its so easy to get to cover, and slowly rise from cover to have a safe shot at the target. The weapons are great and give you a great "bang" sensation, but the best of all is weapon leveling, a lot of comments also said that this game`s wepons have an insane recoil, its true but not to worry, only the machine guns have it and its quickly resolved by the first upgrade you get when leveling which significantly reduces the recoil, another upgrades also give things like scopes, bigger magazines, more ammo capacity, better fire rate, better sights, alternate fire modes and much more, things like a grenade launcher on youre m1 garand or a great short range scope on youre stg 44 and even a gangster like magazine with 50 rounds each for your thompson, the leveling is awesome and great fun. The Ai in this game alsos gets some critics and unfortenately i have to comply, althougth it isnt that bad, sometimes enemies just run trough youre guys unarmed and start shooting at you and youre guys dont do anything unless youre around, but those are all minor problems because overall they work just fine. Another good aspect of this gamee is that each level is a bit like a sandbox, every zone is open from the start of the mission and when you jump of the plane you can chosse where to land and you can land everywhere, near the ground close to the action for some shot them up action, or in a rooftop or tower for some good old sniping, truly a great asset.

Story: The only thing in this game that really could be better, the whole game is operation after operation, drop into enemy territory time after time, after time. The story i would say is unexisthing, you know that youre name is Travers because everyone keeps calling you that, and that youre a soldier of the airborne force, but thats it. Everytime before a mission you get a dibreafing explaining what to do, safe zones to drop and unsafe zones to drop, mission objectives, but thats it. But who cares about the story, a shotter is about shoting things and even though some dont a have a story it doesnt mean theyre bad.

I didnt want to say to bad of this game, because i really enjoyed playing it and ill give it a good 8 of 10, because the small flaws of this game are completely compesated for the new features that you wont find in other FPSs, i say that if you have 30 bucks extra and are looking for a good overall FPS, buy this one!
