Good plot, Nice battle system. A LOT better than your average browser game.

Many thoughts come in mind when I see this game.
The first of them being the plot.
You are an aspiring student for G.E.A.R.S university, the most prestigious Mecha University.
What's a Mecha, you may ask?
A Mecha, put simply, is an armed-to-the-teeth 5 feet tall robot.
They come in different forms, from average army robots to animal-like ones, such as the Tyrant Mecha, a dinosaur robot.
Now, you are aboard a Shuttle, and when you land, you try the Entrance Exam, which you pass with flying colors(thanks to a slight malfunction in the Drones).
Now, as a student, you have to join a house, which is something like a fraternity.
In total, there are three: WolfBlade(Offensive)Runehawk(Magic) and Mystraven(All or Nothing). These houses offer special mechas and weapons.
Apart from that, there are currently, as of September of 2008, 3 classes: Energy Blades, an introduction to the world of off-mecha fighting, Mecha Combat, which makes you endure some "hard" trials and Mecha Piloting, which allows you to train your stats, the newest function on MechQuest, or as some people call it, MQ.
Now, apart from the University, there are sidejobs at the Main City, called soluna City.
In these jobs, you can deliver pizzas, hunt ghosts, be a cop, recollect fossils and do autopsies on a hospital.
EVEN apart from that, Soluna City offers a challenge zone, the Knife And Spork, which is the local cafeteria.
The Knife And Spork's Owner, Maegwyn, has made a tournament between all the mech Pilots of Soluna City.
Those who win the 10 Challenges will get a hefty sum of credits, experience, and special prizes that'll "flip" you!
Now, apart from these jobs, there is the possibility to fight other players mechas on the Star Captain Club.
Now, apart from that, you may go with the Dean of the prestigious University, Warlic, to receive special and secret missions that will put the plot afloat.
This plot includes: High quantities of treason, rebellion and Cut Heads!!!!.... forgive me if I exaggerated with that.
In a part of the plot, you will have the ability to have a Starship of your own. That is, of course, if you become a Star Captain. More on this later.
If you are not a Star Captain, you will still be able to use a Public Starship, which will take you to the Moon and the other Planets, where more parts of the Plot reside.
Now, as for the Gameplay, I must say that it has turned quite good. First, it had zero strategy, and all you had to do was press buttons, but with the new House Mechas and the new BoT weapons, you have as a result an excellent gameplay!
For the graphics, they are pretty good for a Flash Game. They game does lag in the latter stages, where weapons get longer animations, so you will need to lower the Quality.
Finally, I must talk with you about the membership option for this game, which is the Star Captain License.
For the one-time fee of 19.95 or 29.95(depending on the number of characters, 1 or 6), you will get full access to the best weaponry and extra stuff!
The fee is pretty reasonable, and being one-time, it is a great deal.
Some of the stuff that Star Captain Membership includes:
-Starship Customization.
-Special, more powerful Items.
-More Mecha Slots. From the 3 Free Player Slots, you get 20 whopping slots!
-Special Bosses, such as the new Doom Harvester, which is the hardest challenge in the game!
-And much more!
Since the game expands every week, this review will soon get obsolete, but nonetheless, MechQuest is a pretty good Browser Fantasy Sci-Fi RPG that is worth the while playing, EVEN if you are not a member.
