Fun game. But multiple bugs including the sound and music.
One of the first games to make great use of bullet time. It makes a lot of kills very epic. Very good action even in today's standards. Max Payne is clearly overpowered, and the game is designed this way. Similar to Kratos being overpowered in God of War.
However I encountered multiple bug throughout the game. The music and sound won't work until you apply a fix. Also there is no check points so you have to be careful where you save. Once I save at a night club just seconds before a fire starts and burn me to death. Have to back track for 15 minutes.
Overall 7.5 in today's standards. Must try if you get it at a cheap price. But don't expect it to match the level of today's great games. Take it for what it is and enjoy it.
