Max Payne GBA is quite fun but alot of the original game is cut out of it making it too short to live up to the original

I'm a die hard Max Payne fan! I can't get enough of it. I was really curious to see what the GBA version was like since it is much different. First off it's obviously not 3 dimensional, so you play from an odd top-side view (see the screenshots). There's not much to aiming so it doesn't take a whole lot of skill to take down enemies. There doesn't seem to be as many enemies as the original game. So overall the game is not very difficult. In fact once you die you can continue right where you left off instead of starting from your last save point. This is because the levels are much shorter than the other versions of the game. It's not all bad though. The story is still the same which is dynamite. The voice acting is still there which is pretty impressive for GBA, although quite a bit of it is cut out and much of the comic style screens are replaced with text bubbles. The music sounds more like a midi file but still sounds alright. The graphics are pretty good for GBA, but nothing too great. The comic screens still look great. The game is fun especially for Max Payne fans. What really hurts the game is how short it is. The original Max Payne game was short as it was but so much of the original game is cut out. Almost all of Part II of the game is gone (the harbor, Punchinello's burning restaurant) and most of the levels are shortened and watered down with less enemies. I know it can't be as good as the original since it's GBA but all this really hurt the game. Nonetheless it's still fun to play and watch the Max Payne story unfold. Any Max Payne fans that are curious to see what he's like on GBA should check this out. Hope to see Max Payne 2 come out on GBA in the future.
