This is a good handheld port Max Payne

User Rating: 8 | Max Payne GBA

After Max Payne was released for the Microsoft in 2001, and Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Apple Macintosh in 2002, Rock Star decided to make it for the Game Boy Advance. The Game Boy Advance version has the plot of the previous version where Max Payne is hunting the drug dealers who killed his wife, child, and his DEA partner Alex Balder, along with framing him. Max Payne does the narration in the GBA version, like the home console and PC versions, through cut scenes and they are done very well.

The graphics and design for the Game Boy Advance version of Max Payne is pretty good and Rock Star did a good job with the dark tone. although it's not as good as the home console and PC versions. It has the bullet time gameplay mechanic like the home console and PC versions and it was executed well and the gameplay overall for the Game Boy Advance version of Max Payne is very good. The soundtrack is a pretty good and Rock Star did a good job with the dark tone like the graphics. If you try to do a run and gun in the game, you will die pretty fast. I thought that Max Payne for the Game Boy Advance wasn't going to be good but I was proven wrong and I'm glad I was proven wrong.
