A faithful adaptation of the Marvel superhero

User Rating: 7 | Marvel's The Invincible Iron Man GBA
With the Iron Man the movie now out and in full swing I decided to give this GBA game another chance.
Graphics: This game is extremely colorful, and detailed to boot. From looks Iron Man is exactly like he should be red, and his suit is surprisingly well detailed, with no grain or fuzz in sight. The same goes for the enemies in this game, as they received the same attention to detail as the hero of the game. The stages are beautiful and consist of a nice variety of landscapes which include snowy, forest and factory settings. Again the detail is there and from looks of it a lot of planing went into designing these levels.
Sound: Nothing special, it fits the mood of the game but never offers anything memorable.
Gameplay: A fun run and gun experience. You are offered several abilities such as a cannon which can be charged (However drains your energy) a thrust jump, and a dash. You have a health bar, and an energy bar, when your energy bar is completely drained your shots don't shoot off as fast as it normally would. There are tons of enemy's in this game so managing your energy adds depth to a would be shallow run and gun game.
Length: Two words: Too short! With only eight boards and 3 boss' it's hard not to ask for more. There are art work portraits here to collect throughout the game however again there are only eight of them, one for each board.
Last call: If you can find this used in any game store it should be cheap, and can be a worthwhile title to keep your interest for a week of casual play. And like all games, if you put it away for a couple of months, it's a fun filler game for those long car rides or plane rides.
