The classic is back....

User Rating: 8.5 | Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds X360
Its been 11 years since another Marvel vs. Capcom game has graced our presence. Now finally Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has hit the stores and it is an impressive title. Fast paced gameplay, 3 on 3 tag team fighting, hyper combos. Its all here and better than ever. There are a few things that could have been made better like a bigger roster and more game modes, but lets kick this review off with the most important part of the game.

Gameplay/Presentation 9/10

Awesome, simply awesome. Fast paced action that fans of the series have grown to love. 3 on 3 battles here along with over the top hyper combos, air team combos, everything. There are no more kick/punch buttons. It has been changed now to high, low, and medium hits. There is also a "simple" mode is which it makes it easier for a player to do moves. Punch/Kick buttons are all put into one button and other buttons can be used to do moves by simple pressing one button and moving the directional pad. This has its pros and cons. Obviously it makes it easier to do moves but it also limits the amount of moves you can do. You cannot access your characters strongest move in simple mode. There is a training mode. In training mode is all you would expect. You choose your characters and opponents and basically train. You can change the difficulty settings, increase lag, or just have the CPU just stand there and take a beating. Training mode is an awesome place to get your combos and moves all ready before you go challenge people on Xbox Live. Unfortunately there are a lack of game modes which is disappointing. There is an Arcade Mode, a Mission Mode in which you basically just choose players and do combos according to the mission, and an online mode. There is nothing else to it, nothing you would expect like survival modes or anything of the type. There are also 20 less characters than Marvel vs. Capcom 2, you can unlock 4 of them. Hopefully there will be some more DLC to add more players and modes, but with that said the characters in this installment are still enough. Newer characters are brought in such as Dante from the Devil May Cry series, Chris Redfield and Wesker from Resident Evil series. There are tons and tons of gallery art and content. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 does a great job in statistics. It takes record of everything and I mean everything. From how many wins and losses you have to how many times you played with a character and your fighting styles.

Graphics/Sound 8/10

Capcom has changed the graphic style this time around. The game has a more comic book style look. It looks pretty good and will catch your eye. It looks really good during combat when everything is flowing, hyper combos, etc the game visuals does impress. The sound is also done well there are a few tracks that will get stuck in you head after a while and the characters voice work is done almost flawlessly.

Final Verdict 8/10

Pros
Awesome, Fast Paced Gameplay
Cool Graphics
Good Voice Acting

Cons
Game Modes
Lack of Characters

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a great fighting game and definitely delivered. With only a few minor flaws and lack of game modes that doesn't hold it back from being a good fighting game especially for hardcore fans of the series. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is sure to have you spending countless hours battling it out with your friend across Xbox Live. If you are a fan of fighting games this should definitely be in your collection.
