Exremely fast paced, loads of fun and very challenging even on the normal level.

User Rating: 8.7 | Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes DC
When the Dreamcast first made its debut as a top runner for console supremecy many thought that Sega of America had nothing else to offer than revivals such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Street Fighter Classics. The emergence of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 made many gamers stood back and take notice. Although the Dreamcast didn't live long in the memory of many gamers this was one of the games that made it satisfying for those of us that owned a DC at the time (and it still does to this day). Yes people I still own one.

What made Mavel vs. Capcom such a great game was that it was very easy to pick up and play. Once you got the controller in your hands and you figured out what the buttons were it was easy to figure out what the moves were. Marvel vs. Capcom allowed the player to choose between any 3 of there favorite characters from either faction. Whether you were an Old School fanatic of the Street Fighter Series or you were more into the Marvel characters or a combination of both. Marvel vs. Capcom made it possible for the gamer to mix and match there favorite characters to take on anyone who thought they stood a chance against your elite 3. Characters from the famous Ryu to the not so known Silver Samurai (forgive me). The game made you take complete control of every aspect from the fighting styles of all the members of your team to the speed of the fight. Whether you were more conservative with the speed of the fight or you were more into getting the fight over and done with you had control.

When starting to play you are taken to the choose your fighter screen there you will notice that most of the tiles are in question marks this gives you an incentive to unlock all the other characters and to play well to get points in order to but them from the secret shop (very cool feature). In the secret shop you shop for the unlockable characters to the different colors of the uniforms they wear. Whne you get into the game you notice that the first few fights are pretty easy but once you hit the third level you notice that the AI is pretty competitve (people, people don't start to whine once the game starts whipping your !$#) this just means you have to fight harder and learn about your opponent plus you wouldn't want an easy game anyway would you? But thats about it once you beat the game and you play for a couple of weeks and you earn points to spend in the secret shop there isn't much more to it. But the game is very fast paced and allows you to choose who ever you wanted to whip some AI butt. If you are good enough to unlock all the characters then the possibilities are endless to how to mix and match your favorites. I would recommend this game to anyone because its just one of those games you want to say "yea" I played it darn good beat em up.There is also a multi-player aspect that alot of people like (including myself) because you can just get all your budds together and see who is the best. Like any other fighting game there is on the market at any given time. But apart from that there aren't alot of modes to choose from but as I stated earlier its pretty damn fun.

P.S. If you ever play this game and you find out its too easy go just turn up the difficulty and you'll find what you are looking for.
