MarioParty 8 (WII) Review

User Rating: 5.5 | Mario Party 8 WII
MarioParty 8 for the WII was one of those games that had quite a bit of potential, but failed to deliver on almost all fronts. If I really wanted to play a board game, I would play an actual physical one, not waste my time on this repetitive game, with only half-decent mini-games.
The point is, this is a board game. You face CPU's or your friends at a fricken board game. The game takes almost no skill, and is based too much on chance. I was open to the idea of a crazy, out-of-this-world virtual board game, but this was seriously just a board and nothing more. There were some mini-games but they all seemed really last second, in the sense that they weren't very well put together.
Just like this review, the game is extremely short. You play 4 different boards and that's it. You will spend the 5-10 hours you play this, rolling the dice and playing mini-games. It's really that dull.
Overall, MarioParty 8 seemed to ordinary. Too much luck was involved, and it was all based off chance rather than skill. With the exception of some mini-games you must play to improve your chance of winning, your better off just pulling out a real board game then wasting your money on this.

Unless, your a fanboy (in which case you should rent it) I would recommend skipping this.
