Easy to learn hard to master

For a free game, this is one of the best I've played in awhile. It starts you off by getting a choice between 6 factions (each with noticeable pros and cons). Surprisingly, none of these factions are too overpowered; however, the AI has a tendency to play "cheap" by starting off with way more powerful units. Early game is the most difficult period of gameplay, so things only get easier once the player has passed this stage.
While you can buy units, skins, visuals, etc. for your army with real money, all of the essentials and a limited number of fluff items can be bought with in-game money (earned from winning battles). A player can complete this game without ever spending real world money with time and effort!
For a turn based game, it is surprisingly good with a fast enough pace. Keep in mind that it is an early release, so noticeable bugs are present but will be fixed as time goes by.
