The Sequel to Manhunt is a very satisfying game IF you have the stomach to handle it.

User Rating: 6.5 | Manhunt 2 PS2
I've played Manhunt. I thought it was a solid game. This can mostly be said for Manhunt 2. There's a reason it recieved an AO Rating. There's more blood in the game than at a national blood-drive. The game can be satisfying at points but you'll need a strong stomach to handle it. If you can't hold down your dinner watch Daniel Lamb stab a guy in the chest with a shard of glass and rip his chest open, this game isn't for you (and that's just the mild stealth kill). In this game (like I said in the last sentence) there are stealth kills. Like in the original game, there are three levels. White (mild), Yellow (moderate), and Red (gruesome). The Red kills made me have to close my mouth. Especially the environmental kills, which are marked on the map as skulls. When you go into a torture chamber in a strip club (yes, I did just say that) There is one point where you can kill one of the torturers that just killed a person. There is dental equipment and if you time it right you push him into the chair, take the dental brusher (one of those heavy duty ones), shove it down his throat and I think he rips and tears something at the bottom of it. Just writing it made my stomach turn. You can also hit guys with crowbars, shoot a guy through his throat with a gun, and many more. Some of these kills can be satisfying, but some of these make me think what twisted mind could think of these (like, "oh sir I have an idea. Why doesn't he shove a dental brush down a guy's throat?" "Oh yes, that sounds like a wonderful idea." wtf) Sometimes however you'll have to get down and dirty and just fight out in the open. Sadly when facing 3 or 4 guys, you will most likely die. Another flaw is the filter (which I like because without it, I probably would have hurled). It's not a big problem on the PS2 or PSP, where most of the gore is still visible, but on the Wii, it's almost impossible to see even what's going on. Another flaw on the Wii version is that the motion controls make it that much harder. Some sounds in the game can be disturbing also. You go into a sex shop at some point in the game with a TV in it that must be playing porn because all you here is a girl moaning with joy. When you preform some kills like the one with glass shard you will here massive gargling which makes the kill a lot more disturbing. In fact, one weapon (the axe) has the ability to chop off heads, and, get this, you can wear it over your hand and use it as a weapon! In one mission you even have to wear a head over your hand to get past a certain door (one of those doors with the sliding window).

Manhunt 2 can be satisfying but you'll need a very, very strong stomach to handle this game. It is for the reasons in this review why I rate Manhunt 2 for PS2 a 6.5 out of 10
