It's Harry Potter and Animal Crossing combined!

Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times is a strange on your normal life-simulation. In this game, you create your character and then attend magic school in order to become a master wizard. By doing so, you have to attend your classes and make sure you practice the spells that you learn.

The game is surprisingly similar to the Animal Crossing series based upon the game-play and graphics which have a very close resemblance to each other. It almost seems as if the two games have used the same game engine. The world in which you live within the game is also a lot larger than in Animal Crossing: Wild World and despite it still being quite small, you'll have a lot of fun just roaming around it. Another nice touch is being able to download new items for the game through Wi-Fi and also being able to visit other people's towns although this feature isn't quite as interesting as on Animal Crossing since everyone's town is pretty similar. Making spells and enchantments are is another part of the game-play where you go on quests and its easy enough to do and also generally good fun.

However, there are a few flaws within the game that do just let down the game a little, one being that the game-play is very repetitive and after a while the game feels a lot more like a chore rather than enjoyable. Enchanted Folk also has quite a few glitches such as sometimes warping into a different place after leaving a building which although, can sometimes be less of a hassle, it is mostly an annoying part of the game. Other minor flaws include the frame rate sometimes dropping and linear quest designs.

Overall, Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry, although not revolutionary or original is still a great game and one to look out for. The game does a great job at being an Animal Crossing clone and I'm not complaining that both games look unbelievably similar because the game is still great. A sequel is already out in Japan and I'm hoping for a western release to hopefully get the game perfect the second time.
