The only madden game I ever had where I regularly watched the computer play itself. I bought this game before I had ps2 - yes I bought this the first day it came out but there was no ps2s left so i just stared at the cover for 2 weeks before I could play it.

Once i popped it in my whole family thought we were watching a real game. It was awesome.

This game is revolutionary in its own right then it marked a significant gameplay and graphical change for the series. With that said - the game is hardly as good as later versions 06 and 09.

However, who would have known that? At the time this was easily the best NFL game to ever hit shelves. Somewhere along the way of the madden lifespan on ps2 they lost their touch.

This game is solid and the closest thing to a perfect NFL game until Madden 06. Enjoy and get ready to spend 100+ hours with this one.
