It might be longer than the last, but not by much.....

When I played the last game, I had a rather short, but enjoyable experience. So when I began playing Lost Kingdoms II, I was expecting a longer adventure, but still an enjoyable experience. And I am sorry to say that after finishing the game, I had a better experience with the first game. You can probably finish the main quest in 10-15 hours, which was about the time span of the first game. The main difference from the first game was the change in battle system. Lost Kingdoms had the classic RPG style where you would walk for a while, and then enter a random battle sequence on a given plain. Well, Lost Kingdoms II got rid of the battle plain and random sequences, and instead it is more of an action-RPG. All in all, I didn't like how everything turned out, and I believe the battle system would have been better left untouched. I think the biggest problem was the camera angle sometimes, because sometimes you would completely miss your enemy with your attacks, because either the camera view was blocked by some obstacle, or you switched to an odd angle and just completely missed your target. But besides that, the game feels like a continuation of the first game. Which is not a bad thing at all. Graphics are okay, the music can get a bit annoying at times, but otherwise the other sound is good. The replay value is pretty good, because there are many sidequests in addition to the main game, and trying to collect all the cards can be pretty damn addicting and challenging. So overall, not a bad game, just not as many improvements on the first like so many were expecting.
