Polished around the edges with potential!

Let me start off by saying I am a huge adventure game fan from the Sierra days. The LSL series in particular was like a mystical fantasy world. There was so much effort put into the pixelated design that it seemed just magical and breathtaking. There were so many different points of interaction in the old games, and so many things to do. You could pick up or manipulate so many objects in every screen. The screen had moving parts - eg) the shuttle in LSL6 La Costa Lotta Resort.... people walking around, etc. I wish LSL Reloaded had more of that. This game seemed like it was kind of rushed. I don't mean that will ill intentions. The artwork is nice, but there are only a couple of things you can even manipulate on each screen. Again, this is a remake. The old LSL1 didn't have that much you could do, as it was text based. You had to enter and figure out tons of commands to even get something to work, and that in itself was a daunting (but fun) task. To avoid adding too many new layers and pay homage to the original, I suppose they couldn't have put much more content into it. But yes, compare it to games like Deponia, it seems like it lacks substance. The good thing is that with this game everything they did they did a damn good job - flashy artwork, superb voice talent, and a professional music score. I am looking for more with the next game - I hope they pick up feedback or else this series will die before we get to the good games in the series (5 and 6). I give it a 6 out of 10.
