This game shows that TT and LEGO can produce many awesome games.

When I first bought this game and played the prologue I was like "This game sucks" because I never was interested in the LOTR series but after playing this game I believe it must be better than Harry Potter.The game was better maybe because I never knew of the story so it had a new feel to it.The story is really great and the graphics make it look very attractive the game-play is good but could have been better if it had a flying character but the flying character thing was the thing that made Lego Batman 2 interesting to me but still this game is awesome.
Like the previous Lego games there is Co-op (multiplayer) and just like Lego Batman it had free roam but unlike Lego Batman Lego LOTR does not have many vehicles.
The story is from all the three novels/books but shortened.From the fight of Elendil and Isildur with Sauran to the destruction of the ring in Mount Doom.Unlike Lego Batman 2 this game has many quests and other collectibles.You can travel using map stones in the open world arena if you need to get to your destination otherwise you can just walk all the way or ride an animal you may find (which is very hard).This game as I believe has a lot of effort put in the graphics and comedy.There are Mithril bricks used to forge things through a blacksmith in Bree using these things called Mithril designs which can be found in the open world and story mode.Some forged items can be very funny and some can be used to annoy your Co-op partner.One Mithril item used to have fun and annoy your Co-op partner is the Disco Phial.
If you're extremely bored you can go to Minas Trith and climb on it all the way up and enjoy the scenery.
I recommend that parents should play it with their children.Now its up to you if you want to buy it,rent it,or don't buy or rent it.
